#9: Shrewsbury Metrolink Station

  • Opened on 8/26/2006, the same time all the other 'extension' stops opened.
  • Serves as the end of the Blue Line.
  • Currently being studied with the possibility of an extension.
  • One of two cake locations in Shrewsbury.
  • The only Metrolink station spotlighted with a cake.

UPDATE (9/4/2016): The cake is still there, but it has shown plenty of signs of wear and tear.

#8: Kenrick-Glennon Seminary

When hunting for this cake, I decided to take the long walk from the Shrewsbury Metrolink station. I didn't realize it at the time but Ted Drewes was also nearby, even though it was off the busy highway. Still, it was quite an odd walk wandering in unfamiliar territory. Typical middle class neighborhood, but the place just seemed unfriendly. Then I saw the signs leading to the seminary, and I snapped up this cake.

UPDATE (9/4/2016): This cake was given back to the artist, but he let us display it around St. Louis. and it is currently sitting outside La Mancha Coffeehouse in Old North St. Louis neighborhood.
