- Opened in 1944 by railroad/train and automobile enthusiasts
- The museum operates a minature train and a trolley, on certain times of the year
- Several pieces of railroad cars, equipment and memorabilia are on display
- Was recognized by the Smithsonian Institution as 'one of the largest and best collection of transportation vehicles in the world'
- Boats, planes and even horse-drawn carriages are also displayed here
