#34: Drury Plaza Hotel at the Arch

This cake location is kind of a double-plug. First, for its historical significance: this certain spot was the site of the International Fur Exchange from the 1920s to, I believe, the 1960s. But before that, I'm assuming there have been other historical buildings that featured businesses that helped St. Louis prosper into a city during the 19th century. Going back to the International Fur Exchange, this was to help farmers and hunters sell their animal fur, especially during the Great Depression.

Second, the famous Drury Plaza Hotel. One of the most 'ritzy, luxurious' (pun intended) sits within a walking distance from most of downtown's landmarks (and cake locations). Drury Hotels was founded in 1973, in Sikeston (100+ miles south of St. Louis). However, their corporate headquarters is in St. Louis. There are 20 Drury hotels within the St. Louis area.

A cool St. Louis-themed cake, right at the heart of the city!

Tried getting one of the back, but no success
