- The Regional Arts Commission organization was founded in 1985, as a way to promote, encourage and prosper the arts and cultural institutions in St. Louis city and county.
- Its present building on the Delmar loop was built in 2003.

- Among some of the places they partnered with include the Laumeier Sculpture Park.
- Has invested more than $76 million in the arts
