St. Louis: 250 Years, 250+ Cakes. Here we go....

In celebration of the city of St. Louis's 250th birthday this year (2014), there was a special cake. Times that by 250, that is! Called 'Cakeway to the West', 250+ cakes have been placed all over the St. Louis area, including the Metro East. Places that have cakes include historical landmarks, parks, museums, popular restaurants, as well as government places. These are just a few examples as the places represented St. Louis in a memorable way.

#48: Missouri History Museum

St. Louis is the proud home of the Missouri History Museum, located at the northern tip of Forest Park.

Building was originally to be a monument to Thomas Jefferson for his efforts of the Louisiana Purchase in 1804.
Built in 1903, named the Jefferson Memorial Building
The Missouri Historical Society, which operates the museum, was founded in 1866.
Consists of several collections of both Missouri and St. Louis-related material.
The museum's admission is free; however, some exhibits are extra $. I would still recommend checking them out!
